AMD Selected for 2019 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 17, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) today announced that it has been selected for the 2019 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI). AMD is one of 230 companies included for their commitment to gender reporting transparency and the advancement of women in the workplace.
“We believe that empowering our employees to bring their unique perspective, voice and passion to work every day makes AMD a more innovative, productive and effective company,” said Ruth Cotter, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Human Resources and Investor Relations at AMD. “We are honored to be included in the Bloomberg GEI and look forward to continuing to expand our programs that foster employee belonging and inclusion.”
Bloomberg’s standardized reporting framework offers public companies the opportunity to disclose information on how they promote gender equality across four separate areas – company statistics, policies, community engagement and products and services. Reporting companies that score above a globally-established threshold, based on the extent of disclosures and the achievement of best-in-class statistics and policies, are included in the GEI.
